Professional quality metric tap and die set, featuring split dies, a comprehensive array of taps, three tap holders and two die holders. The taps are supplied in pairs - a taper tap and a plug tap. The taper tap has a gradual cutting action, due to the pronounced chamfer of the thread, making it suitable for starting a thread. The plug tap has far less of a chamfer and is used after the taper tap to take the thread close to the bottom of the hole. Supplied in a blow-moulded storage case.
